History
PrincesS is a rock music project (open to all kinds of genres - pop, funk, prog, blues, metal…).
It was born in Rome in 1994 by Freddie Wolf (vox) and the drummer Chris Maddews. Finally, in 1998 they completed the line-up with Orlando Monteforte (bass) & Max “Alan Warner” Brodolini (guitars), recording their first demo (“The Crown”, 1999) and performing live all around until they separated due to irremediable friction between the two founders.
Wolf reformed the band again in 2001 with the old members plus Mattias Battista (guitars), Mauro Manzoni (piano & keyboard), and Vladimiro Melchiorre (drums) but in 2002 they disbanded again.
Wolf and Monteforte reunited again in 2017 and, after one year, their first album “Princess” (2018) was finally produced, including a new tune written with Goblin (the famous horror soundtracks composers for Argento and Romero movies as well as one of the principal 70’s prog-rock band of all times). The first single is the clip “El Dia Antes del Mañana” (the Spanish version of their old “The Day Before Tomorrow”). In the same year, Brodolini and Manzoni returned to the project, completing and reforming the old line-up. Their 2nd album “Lovely Heaven Crazy Band” (2019) is out with the first lyrics video “We Still Love You (Song for Mercury)” orchestrated by Giordano Maselli (as it is for “To Everyone”). The 3rd one “The Dark Side of God” (2020) is launched with “The Night of Evil (Halloween)” clip featuring Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex Judas Priest, Iced Earth…). In 2021 the band produced the 4th one called “Temple of Music” promoted by two clips; "Lover Lover" (from the 2nd album) and "A Kind of Heaven" (the single of the 4th one). The following year, in 2022, the band came out with their own free "Best Of" as a tribute to their followers and at the end of the same year with the single/video "Xmas (As The Old Times)". In 2023 the guitarist Brodolini left the band by mutual agreement with the other members due to irreconcilable differences and the following month the 5th album "PRINCrazinESS" was released. Their sixth album “Music of God (The Bible Rock Opera)” was released in 2024 and is the first band's concept album.
Line up
FREDDIE WOLF (vox)
In 1993 Wolf found his first band with Chris Maddews (drums). In 1994 they became PrincesS. After composing some tunes and gig with other projects, in 1997 Orlando Monteforte (bass) joined the band. The next year Max "Alan Warner" Brodolini completed the line-up. After some gigs, they recorded their first demo ("The Crown") in 1999.
Disbanding a few months later, Wolf restarted the project after one year in 2001 with the old members plus another guitarist (Mattias Mackenzie), a pianist (Mauro Manzoni), and a new drummer (Vlad Melchiorre). After some gigs and an incomplete demo, the band disbanded again in 2002.
Through the years Wolf takes part in different music projects (especially Stick it Out), recording albums, videos, and touring all around with a good following everywhere.
In 2015 he abandoned whatever project to record his double solo album called "Utopia - Distopia" featuring many different musicians.
Finally, in 2016 he refound PrincesS project again with Orlando and they produced the first homonymous album in 2018, uniting with Max and Mauro again.

ORLANDO MONTEFORTE (bass & piano)
Orlando started as a drummer in the half of the 90s. He turned bassist later and in 1997 he became part of PrincesS.
When they disbanded in 2002, he took part in some tribute bands (Iron Maiden and Litfiba among them), still studying his instrument and composing new stuff.
In 2016 he restarted the PrincesS project with Wolf, producing their first album and all the others with the historical members of the band.
He started to study piano too, composing differently than in the past and moving through more genres than just hard & heavy, like synth-pop, sci-fi, and soundtracks.
